At Trü-Sky, we develop and sell foods, supplements and beverages to help you and your family live better and more happily in the 21st Century. This doesn’t mean, however, that we’re working on high-technology foods of the future.

It’s actually just the opposite.

We believe that there’s an equivalence between Authenticity and Health, with divergence from either tending to compromise the other. Our philosophical position is that the foods of the Pre-Industrial past were far healthier than now but also fundamentally different from modern foods.

However, after a period of pretty intense research, we’ve concluded that it’s going to be impossible for most people and their families to fully replicate a Pre-Industrial or Paleolithic Diet in the 21st Century if the intention is to restore the actual physiological condition of robust Pre-Industrial health.

Why?

It’s because the planet that feeds us is damaged. And it’s not damaged in just the parts of the world to which we’ve transferred the burden and pollution of manufacturing, like India or China or Thailand or South Korea.

It’s actually everywhere, whether you’re talking about the farmlands of Iowa or in a backyard garden in your cottage in a suburb of Frankfurt, Germany. It includes, of course, the big urban centres, like New York City, but then extends to the suburbs, exurbs and far, far beyond. In fact, farming regions are in some ways the most dangerous places in terms of pollution intensity, due to our use of increasingly sophisticated agricultural chemicals and how those agricultural chemicals change—even evolving in some sense—as they degrade, agglomerate and react with light, heat and even pollen.

You’ve no doubt heard about the melting of Antarctica. And you read the first paragraph of that story about the 6th Mass Extinction. Or, maybe you you even saw the weirdly cinematic Red Sky last year as you walked out of your office home in Palo Alto. And did you happen to be in Washington, D.C. when the derecho blew through in 2012, providing all the damage of a Force 5 hurricane in about 5 minutes?

You can call it Climate Change, if you like. We ourselves prefer the word Pollution, because it’s simpler to understand… and smell… and taste.

It’s easy to believe that the same ubiquitous clouds of pollutants and heaps of contaminants that are steadily causing sea levels to rise around the world and whole species of life on our planet to disappear into the forever of extinction are having no effect whatsoever on our personal health as intelligent human beings capable of watching an IPTV-feed from Davos with a PIP screen of a Disney cartoon for our kids.

This is an illusion.

We have a red pill for you. (Actually, this is literally true; but more on this here.)

Applying a composite of data from the British Society for Immunology, Harvard Health and Connect Immune Research, we estimate that as many as 250 million Americans and nearly 50 Million in the UK will suffer from autoimmune disorders of various sorts by the year 2030. Even estimates for the present in 2021 are astounding, with likely over 113 million American sufferers and 4 million Britons, with the UK figure estimated at over 23 million if one includes those with un-diagnosed or sub-clinical conditions.

Because of the rapidity of the rise of autoimmune disorders, Harvard Health believe that the increased incidence is attributable to environment (that is, pollution) and lifestyle, a large part of which is simply eating a readily available modern diet; and, because food is what we harvest from the environment, we’d argue that the total cause is simply environmental.

Autoimmune disorders—most notably dermatitis and asthma—are highly correlated with heightened susceptibility to infections and illnesses of all kinds, whether viral, bacterial or due to toxic load. In fact, researchers are already intensely exploring the connection between autoimmune disorders and the rapid mutation of SARS-COV2 variants.

At Trü-Sky, we believe in science. The science that we’ve reviewed indicates that Pollution has compromised health and immunity, rendering us vulnerable to new pathogens, with Covid-19 representing likely just the first in a larger, much longer pattern of serial health crises that will render the realities of the 21st Century very different from the 20th.

You’ll recognize some of our proposed methods of adapting to these new risks, because we like antioxidants. However, our first choice isn’t Vitamin C, because recent science has shown that Vitamin C—though doubtless widely popular and likely beneficial in a general sort of way—has no observable impact on the human immune response; and, the gestalt of immunity means much more than protection against a single pathogen over a discrete period of time.

If our baseline of health is the Pre-Industrial past, we must imagine a world with much less lemon water. Vitamin C, in the final analysis, is a pillar of a certain kind of world view; and, this view of the world may have more to do with finding excuses to believe in sugar and other sugary illusions than the actual healthfulness of ascorbic acid.

We have a new Priority List of Antioxidants.

We like the Keto-Antioxidants. Also, because we hope to occupy a position above and beyond fashion trends and food fads, we will quite often use the term Fat Soluble.

However, even our Fat Soluble products are simply the first stage in a program of foods and supplements development that we hope will help you and your family adapt • resolve • repeat to a healthier life in the context of the realities of the 21st Century.

We like intelligent, well-considered adaptation consistent with real science. It’s preferable to the processes of evolution, which are typically harsh. We’d be pleased to have you join us in our adaptive adventure through the challenges of the Anthropocene Age.
